SECRET secret desire: This is so dumb. but actually.. i've always day-dreamed about myself doing some solo singing performance in my secondary school on national day. haha you know, like get picked to perform a national day song. or hoping that they'd have some singing competition for national day that kinda thing. haha

I mean. i like singing national day songs maaa. (the old ones of course)

I think i'll miss this year's national day parade cos i'll be sending Dajie off to camp..

but its okay! cos there's still the encore telecast and i just might catch the fireworks at night!

Ugh. i didnt manage to get any tickets this year and i really wanted to see the parade live.
The last time i went for the parade was in Sec 3? i Dragged along aiping to watch the parade with my mum and her P5 students. haha and it was so fun.
Oh yes. Don't you find it weird?

cos the National Day parade is the only time you feel so enthusiastic about everything and anything about Singapore. and its the only time when we actually sing the national anthem the loudest. or its probably the only time we feel so patriotic about being a Singaporean. haha

But I am proud to be a Singaporean. haha honestly i am.

And i thank God that he has placed me in this nation. A nation that is like a safety shelter, one that allows me to live in peace and not in fear, one that gives me a freedom of choice and religion, and one that is under the influence of good leaders.
Sometimes we think to ourselves - if only i was an American, or a Japanese.. or we always dream of leaving this country in search of a better life, maybe in Australia or sth....

But Come on. The grass always seems greener on the other side. In reality, it may not be so.

Maybe we should start seeing how privilege we are being called, - Singaporeans.

We're all here for a reason.

And its all in His perfect plan that we're born in Singapore and not somewhere like in errm Mozambique or sth

So What's our place? i know its not just to stick out like a thorn in the flesh and be a "pollution" to this society.

But we have a part to play.
I want to make a difference. and I know its impossible to change the world.

but i can change whats in the sphere of my influence.

So if you want to be a world changer, influence the one beside you first.

its a good start. haha :)
