i'm in a dilemma and i'm thinking aloud.

Business mgt has a wider job scope, Its more general but might be TOO general and i might not get a well paying job in future. Probably will get an advance standing so it will only be 2 - 2 1/2 years instead of 3 years. I get to learn more subjects that is errm...more general. i think its pretty easy so i can score better. Get to Major in Finance (only 4 subjects in finance) but the cert only identifies that i have a degree in Management, and not finance.

Management is a skill. So i can use that in any sector that i'm working in. Just that it feels no different from the diploma that i already have.

Econs and Finance is more specific. Will probably get a job in the bank which has better prospects and pays me well. Will also get an advance standing, so it will only be 1 1/2 years and the fees will be much cheaper. Will be taking economics and a lot of focus on Finance but Its harder to score. I'll probably get a better paying job with this degree than if i take Management. But its specific. i will really be specializing in Finance. So i'll be Somewhat stuck in the Finance sector. and is that what i really want to do?

And have no friends taking this course. so i have to make new friends all over again heh.

BUT! i think management is so general. i probably can get offered the same job with my diploma even without the degree. and i cant work like in banks or whatsoever. on the other hand, econs and finance can land me a job at a bank and IF i dont want to do finance anymore, i can still do something else since the degree dont matter and i already have a diploma.

Both are not really sth i really really really want to do. So in that case, might as well take the better paying one. Besides, i dont mind working in the bank.

actually i want to teach (i still have 2 years to decide if i really want to) But MOE might not recognise the degree that i'm taking. So with either one, it might or might not get me a place in NIE.

Seems like i've made a decision? I consulted 4 people. all 4 told me to take Econs and finance.

But the actual fact is that i already applied for business management. Why?! i dont know. i did it just to secure a place first. and at that point, i was desperate to make a decision.

besides, If i chose Econs and finance, and if i change my mind, i'll be too late for the application for business management. BUT if i choose management, and i change my mind, i can still reject and apply for finance because the intake only starts only in January next year.

Should i reject and change course!?

If only, if only. Then i wouldnt have to sell my Old Hp just to pay for my application fee.

If only, if only. Then i would have just gotten into teaching instead of going to SIM.(which is known for the school that accepts just about anyone. As long as you have money)
