Okay, MOE gives teachers a yearly allowance of $700 to buy any related teaching materials. So with that, my mum gave me a budget of $600 to buy a good camera.

So this cost me about $530?
Seriously, I would never spend that much on a camera if its my own money. and i was so tempted to buy the T100? the RED one. heh. but its $600. oh wells, this is way good enough for me already. and interestingly this was what my mum intially wanted. So okays.
Besides, I'm not really techy. So i go for the Look of the camera and not really the specifications?

Good thing Qinsheng came with me. If not i would have been cheated! SIM LIM people are really skimming...
we shopped from 4plus till abouttt... 7 plus. HEH. i've never felt so tired shopping before. haha and in the end we went back to the first store! UGH.

So Here's what i've learnt from Sim Lim.
There's competition. They know you're comparing prices.

So they throw you an unbelievable price you just cant say no to.

Then you leave to recce even more. and ultimately you'll return to that one shop because they offered you the "best price".

Then, they start telling you how bad the camera is and introduce a "better" and more Expensive camera.
Convincing you that your initial choice is really BAD and you should get the other one.

We (or rather QS) got smart and insisted on the initial one we chose.

THEN they tell you they only have ONE set available. Which is the display.
So. just walk away.

okay. maybe everyone already knows about this technique of theirs. but its certainly new to me!

Lesson learnt! :)

Longest time since i've been to Billy Bombers.
The food, service and everything else seems so much better. the last time i went, it was miserable.
Now, they serve Ben and jerry's ice cream for dessert! COOL. and even my fellow "junior" while i was working there became the manager. wooo...

Cant believe i endured the ugly bow tie and sailor hat thing.
